The records we hold, either in electronic or paper form, are for
the purposes of our core business activities only and include:
- Personal information about our employees necessary for staff
administration.
- Personal information about our shareholders and directors necessary
for company administration and reporting to Companies House.
- CVs of people who have applied for employment with ESD, or who
have asked us to keep their details on file in the event that
a suitable job becomes vacant.
- Contact details of our clients, our project partners and our
suppliers.
- CVs of our project partners' and sub-contractors' key employees
which are required by our clients and potential clients.
- Contact details of anyone who has registered on one of our websites,
either to gain access to information which we make available,
or to purchase a report from us.
- Information about organisations to whom we wish to advertise
our services.
All the information we hold about individuals and organisations
has either been provided to us by the data subject or is freely
available in the public domain. We do not keep any information about
the financial status of an individual or company (other than that
which is available in the public domain, for instance, from Companies
House).
We do not share the information we hold with any other company
or organisation except with the express consent of the data subject
(for example, providing evidence of income to a lender on behalf
of an employee seeking a mortgage).
ESD complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and has made a voluntary
notification of compliance. We take all reasonable care to ensure
that the information we hold is safe, secure and accurate. Access
to sensitive personal information, such as personnel and salary
records, is restricted to only those people who need to use the
information for the purposes of staff administration. Electronic
records are password protected and paper records are kept under
lock and key
Employees, shareholders and directors of ESD can see the information
we hold about them by applying to the Office Manager. Other individuals
or companies can ask to see the information we hold by writing to
the following address, enclosing a cheque for the administration
fee of £10 made payable to ESD Ltd under the terms of the
Act:

If the information we hold about you is wrong we will correct it.
If you believe that we are holding unnecessary information about
you, you can write to the address above explaining why you think
we should not keep the information.
