Job Description
Job Title: Senior Technical Specialist, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
Reports to: Ops Manager, ESD Bulgaria, Director - International Division
Purpose: To provide top technical skills, with a strong engineering focus, to strengthen and broaden ESD Bulgarias service offering in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate change.

Overall Responsibilities:

1. To carry out energy audits
2. To put in place energy efficiency actions and measures
3. To assess the technical framework for renewable energy projects
4. To undertake renewable energy project assessments
5. To undertake energy efficiency and renewable energy technology and project market assessments and analysis
6. To support development of Joint Implementation projects
7. To identify business opportunities in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change
8. To design, oversee, supervise and manage energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate change projects
9. Such other duties of a similar nature as may be required from time to time.

Qualifications
S/he will have good to excellent English speaking capabilities and fluent Bulgarian language capabilities. S/he will be a qualified thermal engineer with practical project management and implementation experience. S/he will have experience in renewable energy technologies and projects, and experience in energy efficiency activities, projects and technologies. S/he will have good computer skills capabilities, a good understanding of Climate Change and the Kyoto Mechanisms. S/he will have a minimum of five years work experience and will be an experienced and capable team player. S/he will have demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to work with the multi-disciplinary ESD Bulgaria Team and with ESDs wide international offices in the UK, China, Africa, Asia and elsewhere.
